About Community
Health System
We got our start 128 years ago as a small boarding house and medical facility. Today, we’ve grown into the region’s largest healthcare provider — with over 11K employees, more than 1,200 licensed beds, and a deep commitment to delivering high-quality care for one of California’s most diverse populations.
Community Health System is built on three pillars of healthcare — Community Medical Centers, Community Care Health and Community Provider Network — hospitals, health insurance and physicians. As a nonprofit that’s locally governed and deeply rooted in the Central Valley, we offer the scale and resources of a major health system with the responsiveness and accountability of a hometown partner.

Commitment to diversity and inclusion is a cornerstone of our culture at Community. All are welcome as valued members of our community.
